Artist Statement

I am a Brisbane-based visual artist / illustrator living in Brisbane, Australia. My artistic practice predominantly revolves around painting works that are bright, colourful and light-hearted. I love to paint for the young and young-at-heart: it’s where the fun is at. I am greatly inspired by the infectious joie de vivre of my two young children as well as my own life experiences, the brilliance of fellow artists and the everyday. Through my works, I hope to bolster feelings of connection and belonging within families and communities. When I’m not painting, you’ll find me rugrat-wrangling, surreptitiously binging Grand Designs… or pretending to adult.
